Joanne Beckwith is an educator, innovator, designer, social activist and lover of all things related to learning. Joanne loves the idea of innovating instruction through new technologies providing opportunities to explore the world and make meaning of it like never before. Joanne has a Bachelor of Social Science in Psychology from the University of Cape Town and graduates with her MA in Instructional Technology and Media in May 2016. Joanne has taught Mathematics, English as a Second Language, basic programming and Lego robotics in various educational settings around the world including the United States, South Korea, France and her home country South Africa. She is passionate about project-based STEAM learning, the Maker Movement, teacher development and using technology as a tool to promote social justice and solve problems in local communities.
